The GE series combines a stainless steel construction with a self-lubricating PTFE sliding layer. The catalog lists PTFE composite material and PTFE fabric liner options, with a separate dynamic load rating for each.

GE series dimensions and catalog ratings

Dimensions use the catalog symbols d, D, B and C. Confirm ring widths, tolerances and installation interfaces against the approved drawing before ordering.

Reading the two load columns

The load ratings apply to different liner options. They are not additive. A catalog dynamic load rating is not an allowable working load or a service-life guarantee. Loads, movement, temperature and installation conditions need to be reviewed for the requested application.

Confirm the configuration you need

• Liner: specify PTFE composite material, PTFE fabric liner or ask for assistance.
• Material: the catalog specifies stainless steel. Confirm the required grade and any surface requirements when enquiring.
• Clearance and starting torque: include target values and measurement conditions if they are part of your design. These values are not listed in the size table.
• End-face geometry: the catalog illustrates versions with and without an end-face groove. Confirm the required geometry and its ordering designation.

Need the bearing supplied with a custom linkage?

If the bearing is part of a rod or linkage, send the two end connections, centre distance and available installation space. Include a drawing revision if you have one, together with quantity, loads and movement requirements.

Is GE6 interchangeable with GEG6?

A shared bore diameter does not establish interchangeability. The series have different catalog dimensions and ratings. Compare the drawings and application requirements before considering an alternative.

Does self-lubricating mean suitable for any operating condition?

Suitability depends on the liner, load, movement, environment and temperature. Include these conditions so the requested configuration can be reviewed.

Can I request a particular clearance or starting torque?

Yes. State the target and how it is measured. The requirement must be confirmed for the requested configuration.
