Linkages & Joint Assemblies
Miniature linkages and custom connecting-rod assemblies for robotic connections. Compare LSANG catalogue models, explore ball-joint linkages, or discuss a drawing-defined component or complete assembly.
Choose the component you need
From a miniature linkage to a complete connecting-rod assembly.
LSANG miniature linkages
Six catalogue entries with stainless steel and PTFE plastic. Compare the bore, widths, h1 and end diameter before opening a model for its full details.
Compare catalogue dimensions →Ball-joint linkages
Drawing-defined end fittings and compact connections for hand and wrist mechanisms. Specify the interfaces and required movement.
Explore ball-joint linkages →Connecting rods & assemblies
Discuss a rod body, fitted end joints or a complete linkage assembly. Define the centre distance, attachment geometry and assembly scope.
Explore connecting-rod assemblies →Joint & cross-shaft components
Submit the connection interfaces and motion requirements for a drawing-defined joint, cross-shaft component or special-shaped rod.
Explore joint assemblies →LSANG catalogue series
Compare six miniature self-lubricating linkages.
The LS humanoid robotics catalogue lists the following dimensions. All linear dimensions are in millimetres; α is the approximate catalogue tilt angle in degrees. Keep the complete /XM or /XMK designation in your enquiry.
| Model | d (mm) | B (mm) | C (mm) | h1 (mm) | d2 (mm) | α (°) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| LSANG1DN/XM | 1 | 3 | 1.8 | 9 | 6.5 | 20 |
| LSANG1DN/XMK | 1.5 | 3 | 1.8 | 9 | 6.5 | 20 |
| LSANG2DN/XM | 2 | 4 | 2.5 | 18 | 7.5 | 20 |
| LSANG2DN/XMK | 2.5 | 4 | 2.5 | 18 | 7.5 | 20 |
| LSANG3DN/XM | 3 | 5 | 2.5 | 23 | 10 | 24 |
| LSANG3DN/XMK | 3.5 | 5 | 2.5 | 23 | 10 | 24 |
The designation number is not the bore size. For example, LSANG1DN/XM has d = 1 mm, while LSANG1DN/XMK has d = 1.5 mm. They share the listed h1 = 9 mm and d2 = 6.5 mm, but are separate catalogue entries.
Use the dimension symbols with the relevant product drawing. The table is a comparison aid; tolerances, liner configuration, clearance, starting torque and availability are confirmed for the requested item. Open a model for its drawing and further catalogue data.
Drawing-defined components
Specify the rod and its end connections together.
Custom work can include ball-joint linkages, connecting-rod assemblies, special-shaped rods and joint or cross-shaft components. Identify which parts are included: the rod body, bearings, end joints, fasteners or the assembled unit.
- Interfaces: hole and pin sizes, threads where applicable, left/right-hand requirements and attachment geometry.
- Geometry: centre distance, end widths, offsets, installation space and the movement envelope.
- Operating requirements: load directions, oscillation, duty cycle, environment and life target where known.
- Acceptance: drawing revision, fits, clearance, no-load starting torque and requested inspection records.
Prototype and production quantities can be included in the same enquiry. Engineering work, tooling, inspection scope and timing are agreed for the particular project.

Hands & wrists
The robotics catalogue describes miniature linkages, ball-joint linkages and rod ends for compact hand and wrist articulation points. Start with the end interfaces and available space.
Related miniature rod ends →Knee, ankle, waist & neck
The catalogue also illustrates drawing-defined connecting rods and linkage assemblies at these positions. Review the complete assembly geometry, loads and movement.
Robotics applications guide →Application positions are supplier-catalogue examples. Suitability must be reviewed for the particular robot and component configuration; the catalogue illustrations are not SphAxis customer case studies.
Consider clearance and starting torque together.
State the required clearance and no-load starting torque, including any inspection method or acceptance limits. A tighter connection alone does not establish better performance. Installation, loads, movement and wear requirements need to be reviewed together.
