Humanoid robotics & industrial motion
Industries
Explore bearings and linkages for humanoid robotic connections, alongside hydraulic, machinery and mobile-equipment applications. Start with the joint location and operating requirements.
Describe the connection and its operating conditions
Use these application examples to prepare a technical brief, not as a claim of a validated robot design. A catalogue component, modified part or drawing-defined assembly may be appropriate depending on the interfaces, loads and acceptance requirements.
Humanoid hands & wrists
For compact finger, hand or wrist connections, begin with the joint interfaces, mounting space and required movement.
- Compare miniature bearing and LSANG linkage geometry against the assembly drawing.
- Define assembled play and starting-torque targets with the measurement method.
- Provide cycle conditions, normal and peak forces, prototype quantity and current drawing revision.

Humanoid leg & body joints
For knee, ankle, waist or neck connections, show the load path, connection geometry and the surrounding movement envelope.
- Separate normal, reversing and peak load cases; identify directions and units.
- Record joint centres, interfaces, adjustment and locking details.
- State clearance, torque, environment, maintenance and proposed test requirements.
Hydraulic equipment
For a cylinder-end or pivot connection, describe how the cylinder is attached and how the joint moves through its stroke.
- Pin and mounting dimensions, eye or rod-end interface and any thread or weld requirements.
- Force direction and peaks, articulation, surrounding clearance and maintenance access.
- Exposure to water, dirt or cleaning fluids, plus the required seal and lubrication arrangement.
Construction & agricultural equipment
For implement pivots, steering links or other moving connections, identify the joint location and its operating cycle.
- Normal and peak load cases, reversals and observed shock loading.
- Mating dimensions, allowable movement and which existing interfaces must be retained.
- Dust, mud, moisture, outdoor exposure and the practical relubrication schedule.
Industrial machinery & linkages
For actuators, adjustment mechanisms and repeated-motion links, show how the connection fits into the surrounding assembly.
- Connection centres, thread callouts and the required adjustment range.
- Oscillation or rotation, speed, cycle frequency and periods at rest.
- Clearance or starting-torque targets, contamination and maintenance restrictions.
A short application brief is enough to begin
- Locate the joint. Name the machine and connection, and provide a sketch or photograph where useful.
- Describe its job. Explain the movement, loads, operating cycle and what the assembly must achieve.
- Identify the constraints. List fixed interfaces, available space, environment and maintenance access.
- State the project stage. Say whether this is maintenance, a replacement, prototype testing or production procurement.

Replacing an existing part?
Keep the original model and suffixes alongside the application brief. A reported failure or a different service requirement may change what needs to be reviewed.
Tell us about the connection
Send the application, interfaces and operating conditions you already know. Missing details can be clarified during review.
